What happens when I submit a request?

So you've submitted your request - here's what happens next!

Updated over 2 months ago

Once you've submitted your request with all of the relevant information, we'll immediately send this to any businesses in your area that are available, offer the services you need, and match your preferences.

The businesses will be able to see a preview of your request, including the type of event, date and location. But any of your contact details will be hidden.

Receiving Quotes

If a supplier is available and interested in your request, they can choose to send you a quote. This will typically include their estimated cost for the work provided, some example images of what they do and some more information about them to help you make a decision.

We will notify you of any quotes you receive via email. But you can also check for quotes by logging into your Add to Event account.

When suppliers have sent you a quote, they will also unlock your phone number if you have provided it. So you can expect an occasional call or text from interested businesses to follow up and discuss your request in more detail.

Choosing A Supplier

Once you've received the quote, simply read through the information and determine if the business is a match for your upcoming event! You can respond to all of the suppliers who have sent you a quote using the chat by logging in and replying. Take your time to discuss options, weigh up costs & decide which business is right for you.

Once you're chatting with suppliers, simply finalise your requirements and decide which business is the perfect fit for you. You can then select your chosen business(es) using the "choose supplier" button.

This will automatically close your request to any future businesses.

Please note: businesses pay to respond to your requests and send you a quote, so it's important to respond to everyone. You can hit the "Decline" button to decline & select a reason which provides helpful feedback to the suppliers who have sent you a quote.
